Why and How Maha Shivratri is Celebrated?
Auspicious Hindu festival of Maha Shivratri is dedicated to worship Lord Shiva. Maha Shivratri is observed on the 13th night/14th day of the 11 Hindu month of Phalguna or Maagh every year.Devotees will be celebrating the auspicious day by fasting and offering special prayers to Lord Shiva by pouring milk and water on the Shiv ling and adorning it with beautiful flowers.
